"I was a seasoned backpacker as a student and I was fascinated by Asia. I always carried a pot of Tiger Balm with me. It is an ancient Chinese ointment that has been used for over a thousand years. I adored the smell and thought it would be great as a scent. It has an interesting duality about it: it is both cold and warm, energising and relaxing. Esprit du Tigre is a difficult scent that people either hate or love. It is one of my personal favourites." James Heeley
