Water is one of the five elements of nature that create and balance the earth's energy: fire, wood, earth, water and metal. In particular, the relationship between water, wood, and metal provide the underlying theme for the structure of the fragrance. The initial impressions of water lily and fig leaves infuse Shi Alfred Sung with pure clarity while adding a bright fluidity throughout the fragrance. Mid notes comprised of orange blossom and frangipani add an aura of feminine tranquility, while water musks and silver birch end the fragrance with a drydown of renewing calm. The Shi Alfred Sung bottle is a study of balance and harmony. A solid, dark wood base is the foundation for the perfectly smooth, rounded glass filled with the luminous floral fragrance. The cap reflects the metal element and is adorned with the Chinese symbol for water.
